Seachem CupriSorb – Advanced Copper & Heavy Metal Removal Resin (100ml)
Seachem CupriSorb is a premium-grade copper-specific chelating resin designed to remove all forms of copper and heavy metals from aquarium water. Unlike standard cation exchange resins, CupriSorb is effective in both freshwater and saltwater environments and can extract even chelated and precipitated copper from substrates and gravel beds.
It is ideal for emergency copper removal after medication treatments and allows for the safe reintroduction of invertebrates into previously treated tanks. CupriSorb changes color from tan to deep blue-black as it becomes exhausted and can be regenerated multiple times using muriatic acid and sodium bicarbonate.

Directions for Use:
- Use 250 mL per 600 L (150 US gallons) to remove up to 7,500 mg (12 ppm) of copper
- Place in a filter media bag (e.g., Seachem The Bag™) in a high-flow area
- Continue use for 2 weeks after copper tests show 0 ppm to remove leaching copper
- Monitor copper levels with Seachem MultiTest™ Copper
Regeneration Instructions:
- Soak in 2 cups water + ½ cup muriatic acid (non-metal container) for 1 hour
- Rinse thoroughly, then soak in water with sodium bicarbonate until foaming stops
- Rinse again – resin is now ready for reuse
- If original color cannot be restored, regenerate as HyperSorb™ or Purigen®
